Cabinet Stain Restoration Project in Greenwood Village
Assessment: This client was unhappy with the current stain color of her cabinets, so she did a tremendous amount of online research looking for experienced painters who specialize in stain and saw LIME’s outstanding reviews. We met with the client to determine the type of color she wanted. After asking questions, we found that she really loved the stain colors on her fireplace mantle, so we created a unique custom-mixed stain to achieve both the reddish and brown colors she was searching for. We took one of her cabinet doors to the shop and experimented and returned with some surprising results.
Advice: After attempting multiple different stain color samples, our client had her heart set on the one that was an exact mix of red and brown. Ernesto put on his “Science Hat” and developed a similar color match to the fireplace mantle. Our client was very pleased, as this was the key reason she chose LIME for the entire project. Next, we masked the room and removed all of the cabinet doors and set up a professional spray station in the client’s sun room. Every cabinet and door were deep sanded as we removed all the old finish and lacquer. After a thorough clean-up of dust, we proceeded to evenly stain the wood cabinetry. Meanwhile, Victor hand glazed all of faces of the cabinet doors. Then the crew sprayed on a crisp beautiful satin clear coat. The owner could not have been happier and wrote a positive BBB review. The crew returned a few days later to put the proverbial icing on the cake, as the new hardware arrival had been delayed, but the job was finally complete!
LIME is fortunate to work with dozens and dozens of wonderful clients in Greenwood Village. Just fifty years ago Greenwood Village was strewn with farms, dairies, gravel roads, and a population of 500 residents. Today, those rural elements have been preserved with a dynamic blend of urban and residential areas, and the area is now home to nationally recognized business parks and a rapidly growing population of around 15,000.
