For this back deck in Evanston, we started with a thorough cleaning to eliminate dirt and vegetation that had sunk into the deck. We sanded and prepped the boards as needed. As this deck had not been previously coated in some time, a full restoration by sanding down to bare wood was not needed. We applied SuperDeck Semi-Transparent stain in Douglas Fir per the client’s wishes to create a beautiful, natural finish.
This deck was part of a combined scope that included a refresh of paint around the soffits of the house as well as the garage trim. We also did a small patch on an interior ceiling and a fresh coat of paint.
