LIME was hired by a general contractor to do an interior staining and painting for a residential homeowner in Riverwoods as part of a remodel. The scope included painting of select walls, ceilings, and trim as well the staining of a wood ceiling.
We started with our standard prep of all surfaces to ensure a smooth and consistent finish. A couple of key areas were the ceiling itself where we used the absolute minimum amount of filler as the wood filler does not receive stain the same as the wood itself. LIME Painting used a Gel Stain to ensure better color consistency across the wood ceiling.
We also had to do extensive prep on the wood window frames as the nail pops were left exposed and needed to be filled and sanded smooth so they could be transitioned to paint.

We worked with both the GC and homeowner to ensure everything was done to their satisfaction and completed within the week as they requested.
