Exterior Restoration in Somerset Estates

Full exterior restoration on a beautiful home in Niwot. CO. We began by power washing the shake shingles, which cover most of the exterior of this large home to remove the dirt, years of grime and mildew that had accumulated in order to give us a nice clean, fresh surface to apply the stain. This assured that the new color would appear more uniform all around. The homeowner chose a semi-apparent stain in Tavern Oak by Sherwin Williams, our preferred stain brand. The darker color helped bring out the colors of the natural stone and the white trim, and made both pop nicely.
The beautiful wrap-around porch was also in desperate need of refinishing. We hand sanded the entire surface before applying Cabot Australian Timber Oil, paying special attention to the area of the wood that had taken an extra beating from the elements and typical dry Colorado conditions. The result was quite stunning and the whole project turned out amazing. The homeowner was extremely happy with the results!
