Carpentry Restoration

Carpentry Restoration Project in Park Hill, Denver

PARK HILL

One of Denver’s Original Neighborhoods, Park Hill is filled with century old homes with unique architecture that is right up Lime’s alley.

Assessment: Lime replaced 14 tudor boards on this Park Hill tudor. Visually boards were cracked, brittle and rotted. The most worn boards sat along the home’s roofline where plenty of moisture had penetrated the boards over the years. The paint on the boards had not been serviced for quite some time, leaving the boards exposed to the elements and unprotected.

Advise: During the quality check phase of the project, Lime noticed 14 tudor boards that were to be replaced. Once torn out and re-installed it was pivotal that Lime ran beads of elastomeric caulking at all the joints of the boards and then coat with a premium exterior paint, Emerald by Sherwin Williams. This solution would ensure that the new and existing boards would be protected from future replacement next time the home was painted.
