Facts about Biltmore Area, Arizona

The Biltmore Area is a section of Phoenix that serves a dual purpose. Along with being one of the more upscale neighborhoods in the city, it’s also considered a financial district. Many consider it to be one of the anchor neighborhoods for the city.

One of the more interesting structures found within the Biltmore Area is the Arizona Biltmore Hotel. Opened in 1929, it’s now the centerpiece of the Biltmore Resort. Along with the hotel, there’s also two 18-hole championship golf courses on the property. The first was built in 1928, in anticipation of the hotel. The other was added in 1977.

The residences found in the Area are among the most exclusive to be found in the city. Dining, upscale shopping and other amenities are found in and around the streets that compose the financial district. Mid-rise residential towers are also found nestled within that part of the Area.

The Biltmore Area is also home to the famous Wrigley Mansion, which was built between 1929 and 1931. As the home of William Wrigley, Jr., the mansion has also been known as the house on La Colina Solana and the William Wrigley, Jr. Winter Cottage.
